When I was in the field installing,  the one pain was when I had to run the crown. As most millwork installers will attest to is that they went through alot of coping saw blades. If you were coping pine or some other soft wood it wasn’t to bad, but, coping oak on the other hand or any other hardwood was tough on your blades. It didn’t take long for your hands to tire either. Tools for cabinetmaking should, and do, include special purpose tools that aid in the completion of your project.

The patented EasyCoper coping saw jig ( Watch the video below ) is one of the tools, along with a jigsaw, that you should cary in you tool bucket. This jig significantly helped cut done on coping time. The coffer ceiling and crown shown, put up in early 2008,  had hundreds of inside corners and the installer was thankful that he purchased this jig by Mcfeely. His setup was efficient and he was able to run 2 to 3 coffers a day ( all other trim included within the coffer. ) Thanks to this jig system our onsite costs were cut by 20 %.

I would highly recommend getting a pair of these jigs to add to your tools for cabinetmaking. With a little practice you will fear coping no more! This jig is  “MADE IN USA”
